Lara's Rainbow Party

For Lara's 2nd Birthday I decided to make a Rainbow Party. Yes, she loves Elmo and can't stop talking about Iglepigle  (is that how it spells?) but I thought this might be the last birthday I get to choose the theme so let me do something unusual! And it was unusual as i could hardly find anything on the party blogs I love... anyways, with my 'sista' Celia we came up with some decent ideas!

The cake was my master piece! 6 beautiful  bright layers of lemon cake filled with some tasty lemon mousse. Of course, according to Celia, we needed a "wow" look on top, so we made these beautiful nets from colored chocolate. It was soooooo yummy!
How pretty are these? Celia made them, isn't she clever?

Lara's Aunty, Lizzie, took some amazing photos of her a few weekends before the Party. They were too beautiful to "don't display". So I decided to take some more and expose them so people could see how wonderful she is! We printed "she colours our world" and had the pictures hanging from the ceiling. It looked amazing!
The Party favors were flower lollies in a shot glass filled with  M&Ms which I carefully separated each color and layered to give the rainbow look!

Hello and Welcome!

This is only the start of our wonderful adventure. Two years ago I met my twin sister, well she doesn't look like me at all, but if you talk to her and talk to me you will know we probably carry the same genes (if that is ever possible, considering I am Brazilian and she is American). Anyway, we LOVE to plan Over-the-top parties for our kids, we get lots of pleasure planing each single detail of it, we are perfectionists and if that wasn't enough... we also are Fantastic bakers! So keep on looking...
